In this way, and thanks to the incorporation of new tools based on geolocation and geolocated augmented reality, it is possible to develop teaching-learning activities in any context and in any place. This paper presents a systematic review of the literature to collect the main findings on the use of geolocation and geolocated augmented reality applications during school trips in Higher Education. The search was carried out on the basis of the publications included in the 'Web of Science' and 'Scopus' databases for the period 2010- 2021. By applying the selection and quality criteria, a total of 15 studies were identified as the final sample. The results obtained show a growing interest in the development of new geolocation and geolocated augmented reality applications adapted to the educational field. Among the potential of geolocation for the development of school trips, it is worth highlighting the increase in motivation, interest and participation of pupils in the teachinglearning process, as well as the development of spatial competences
