Connected learning refers to an activity, practice or experience that brings toghether youth interests and learning with academic, career and / or civic related opportunities and it is supported by throught peer interaction. The main purpose of this article is to place this approach, both theoretical and applied. For this, we describe its origin, the principles or ideas that support this theory, as well as the social and material conditions necessary to implement educational practices connected from the perspective of relational equity. In closing, we offer some examples of connecting learning in practice, as well as, some of what we consider to be its current limitations and designg and implementation challenges ​
