In the field of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), whose objective
is to train citizens capable of facing the challenges of the 21st century, educational gamification is an
increasingly frequent resource at all educational levels and is a key element to improve the teachinglearning process. Through a literature review, it is justified how gamification brings benefits to the
study of STEM in high school education and confirms its potential in meaningful learning, increased
motivation, and the development of cross-sectional skills
