La cartografía inmersiva en investigación basada en las artes. Estudio de un caso en el barrio de Poble Sec en Barcelona

Abstract

This article is an approach to different issues in relation to the research based on arts and architecture, developed in the Poble Sec neighbourhood (Barcelona, Spain). This neighbourhood had the feeling of losing the cohesion in terms of relationships among neighbours it had had before. The project aimed to investigate and explore this feeling and draw the current local affective network. The research objectives focus on the possibilities of architectural language and cartography as tools for arts-based research. Subjective cartography and network drift were used for data creation. The result was a map that unfolded in three dimensions providing a deeper and more complex understanding of the initial research problem, revealing issues linked to citizenship and ways of cohabitating

Este artículo es una aproximación a diferentes cuestiones en relación a la investigación basada en las artes y la arquitectura, desarrollada en el barrio de Poble Sec (Barcelona, ​​España). Este barrio tenía la sensación de perder la cohesión de la relación en red que había tenido antes. El proyecto era investigar y explorar esta sensación y dibujar la red local actual. Los objetivos de la investigación se centran en las posibilidades del lenguaje arquitectónico y la cartografía como herramientas para la investigación basada en las artes. Para la creación de datos se usó la cartografía subjetiva y la deriva de red. El resultado fue un mapa que se desplegaba en tres dimensiones aportando una comprensión más profunda y compleja al problema de investigación inicial, desvelando cuestiones de ciudadanía y modos de convivencia
