Abstract

Programa Carretera has a long trajectory in the world of care for people who work as prostitutes. In this article, we will contextualize prostitution throughout history and learn about the legal parameters in which it is currently framed. It also presents a description of the program at present, through the profile of the people who are assisted, with special emphasis on teamwork and the methodology of intervention from a comprehensive approach. Finally, it is proposed to know the beginnings and the evolution of the program in the last twenty years, reaching the challenges in which it is currently working. Through a practical example such as this program, it is proposed to describe the changes in the methodological lines and the constant adaptations that have to be carried out in order to maintain the effectiveness of the programs
