Argumentation is analyzed within the framework of intuitive probability, basing on a stochasticexperiment with dice proposed online to 19 4-year-old boys and girls during the confinement period in Spain. From a multiple case study, and using the argumentative situation, it is analyzedhow, for what and about what three students selected from various criteria argue, and what roledoes the family play. The results show, on the one hand, that the arguments on intuitive probability of the analyzed cases have an unique argumentation function, with the predominanceof the explain function, and are characterized by being brief, with a narrative character supported by the diagrammatic; and, on the other, an absolute predominance of mothers in the role ofsupporting their sons and daughters. It is concluded that it is necessary to offer guidance toteachers and families so that children can argue about intuitive probability, based both on askinggood questions and adequate explanations
