Evaluando la competencia matemática: construcción y validación de una rúbrica

A rubric that evaluates the mathematical competence in Primary Education through the mathematical processes of Problem Solving, Reasoning & Proof, Connections and Communication & Representation is presented. For the design of the rubric, a conceptual analysis of the mathematical processes was carried out first, and then the instrument was constructed and validated. The judgment of seven experts in mathematics education and seven in-service teachers has led to important changes in the selection and final writing of both the indicators and the levels of development. It is concluded that this instrument can be used with a dual purpose in teaching practice: to evaluate students and to guide teachers about teaching mathematics through processes ​
