This study examines how English second language learners interact with their
peers during context-based oral communication activities, aiming to assess
whether peer interaction enhances children’s oral discourse abilities and supports
improved learning outcomes. Using a dynamic and interactive approach, three
targeted linguistic structures were introduced and practiced by 52 students with
varying levels of English proficiency. The results showed significant progress in
both learning outcomes and oral communication abilities. These findings highlight
the effectiveness of peer interaction as a strategy for fostering oral communication
skills and promoting overall second language acquisition.
