This study aims to establish, both theoretically and through practical evidence, the hypothesis stated in the title: a good nutrition has a decisive impact on sports performance. On the theoretical side, I have aimed to delve into the quality international scientific literature to increase my knowledge of nutrition applied to sport. I have applied this knowledge practically in order to achieve two further objectives: improving our athletic performance and increasing our vitality and wellbeing. In order to prove the hypothesis, this study implemented three specific nutritional plans over 90 days for three adolescent tennis players, with the primary aim of enhancing their competitive abilities. To provide a reliable basis for comparison, a control group of three other participants was closely monitored over the same time frame. All six participants answered a weekly questionnaire and underwent two physical assessments at the study's commencement (2nd May) and conclusion (31st July). The three participants in the control group saw a notable decrease in their tennis performance, averaging a decline of 17.84% (probably due to both the reduction in tennis training during the summer months and the increase in environmental heat between May and July). Remarkably, those who adhered to the prescribed nutritional plans experienced a striking average improvement of 38.35% in their tennis performance. These findings underscore the profound impact of nutrition on athletic prowess, supporting the hypothesis of this study
