Ecos del fascismo: derecha radical y populismo, de Trump a Vox

Abstract

The aftermath of the victory of Fratelli d'Italia in the Italian elections of 2022, just a few months ago, represents a good moment to address the debate on the 'return' of fascism. It is worth inquiring the extent to which the political projects of the European and world populist radical right-wing are fascist, and, ultimately, what is and what remains of fascism. Even though it is possible to trace the roots of these projects in long-running processes and movements, we will focus on the years since the Great Recession of 2008. We will pay particular attention to the period between the coming to power of Donald Trump in the United States and the present day

Meses después de la victoria de Fratelli d’Italia en las elecciones legislativas italianas de 2022, parece un momento propicio para abordar el debate sobre el "retorno" del fascismo, lo cual es como preguntarse sobre qué tienen de fascista los proyectos políticos de las derechas radicales populistas europeas y mundiales y, en definitiva, qué es y qué queda del fascismo. Pese echar sus raíces en procesos y movimientos de largo recorrido, nos centraremos aquí sobre todo en el tiempo iniciado en 2008 con la Gran Recesión, con una particular atención a los últimos años, los transcurridos entre la llegada al poder de Donald Trump en Estados Unidos y nuestro presente
