Avantatges i inconvenients de la posició de litotomia en el moment del part: revisió bibliogràfica

Abstract

The birth and the culture that surrounds it has a prehistoric origin that, over the years, has evolved to the current technocratic model. There is a wide range of possible positions so that mothers can give birth according to their will. Today, the vast majority of hospitals use the lithotomy position as a recurring stance. It

is among the most widely used, despite recommendations from scientific evi- dence and the World Health Organization (WHO) not to use due to its inconven- iences.

Objectives: Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the lithotomy position, establish a relationship between births accompanied by midwives involving the lithotomy position, associate the lithotomy position and the performance of the episiotomy, compare the lithotomy position with the vertical positions and analyze the maternal perception of the lithotomy position

El part i la cultura que l’envolta té un origen prehistòric que, al llarg dels anys ha anat evolucionant fins al model tecnocràtic actual. Ens trobem amb una àmplia gamma de posicions possibles perquè les mares puguin parir segons la seva voluntat. Avui dia, la gran majoria d’hospitals utilitza la posició de litotomia com

a postura recurrent. Es troba dintre de les grans utilitzades tot i les recomanaci- ons per part de l’evidència científica i l’Organització Mundial de la Salut (OMS)

de no utilitzar-la pels inconvenients que suposa. Objectius: Analitzar els avantatges i inconvenients de la posició de litotomia.

Relacionar els parts acompanyats per llevadores amb l’ús de la litotomia, asso- ciar la posició de litotomia amb la realització de l’episiotomia, comparar la posició

de litotomia amb les posicions verticals i analitzar la percepció materna sobre la posició de litotomia
