Hallux valgus is a frequent deformity of the first ray of the foot, with progressive abduction and pronation of the first phalanx. At the same time, adduction, elevation, and pronation of the first metatarsal happens (metatarsal primus varus). In this research we revised different factors regarding hallux valgus surgery, studying anatomical specimens provided by the Body Donor Department, and focusing in percutaneous surgery of the forefoot. This research is divided in three parts: the first part is a comparison of two orthopedic shoes commonly used during hallux valgus postoperative period. The second part is a comparison of two percutaneous distal first metatarsal bone osteotomies. And finally, the third part is an assessment of the security and effectivity of percutaneous forefoot surgery, where the distance between percutaneous surgical incisions and nearby neurovascular structures was measured
