Moreto, Poet in the Society of His Time.This is a study of Moreto’s lyrical production set in the context of its time. It aims not only to bring to light poems that have gone unpublished until now or were edited only in old imprints, but also to note the presence of Moreto’s poetic work in some of the important poetry collections from the late 1630s to the 1660s. This new review combining several research perspectives is intended to illuminate some of the social networks in which Moreto and other poets collaborated, and which may be key to explaining other phenomena of the seventeenth century, such as collaborative playwriting
