Eating disorders are a health problem with a strong social impact. Nowadays, social networks and mass media have an important role spreading the worship of beauty. This could affect the youngest population who have the biggest peer pressure to achieve the beauty standards, thus emerging in an eating disorder. Education, prevention and early detection from family and teachers plat a key role decreasing the number of cases. Family is the closestsetting and is essential in increasing the teenagers’ self-esteem, among being the first environment where a disorder can be detected. Nevertheless, relatives’ the fear of possible illness often leads them to underestimate the problem. Therefore, teachers’ role is crucial because they can detect objectively suspicious behaviours and early symptoms. So as to accomplish that prevention and detection, it is imperative that teachers have the required knowledge and information about eating disorders. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this project is to evaluate the knowledge of teachers of Pla de l’Estany’s high schools about eating disorders. METHODS: The study will be a descriptive and cross-sectional research. The knowledge of teachers about eating disorders is going to be evaluated using a questionnaire created ad hoc. Data analysis will be carried out through the statistics program IBM SPSS 25.0 ​
