After establishing that there is a historiographical void on municipal finances and public credit, it is presented which sources from the Girona Municipal Archives can fill it. With regard to private credit, it is warned of the limitations of the cadastre to study it, especially in the 19th century, although in combination with demographic series, it is a very interesting source to assess the weight of the life cycle in the private debt" , "dc.description.abstract": "Estat de la qüestió sobre la historiografia que ha estudiat l’endeutament públic i privat d’època moderna i contemporània a la ciutat de Girona.
