The present article furthers the study of the origins of the emergence of the posthumous fame of the painter Antoni Viladomat, centring especially on the relations of the inquisition prosecutor Nicolás Rodríguez Laso with Antonio Ponz and the enlightened circles of his day. It also adds a varied selection of new works to his catalogue, including the heretofore unknown self-portrait of the paintor
El present article profunditza en l'estudi dels prolegòmens de la fixació de la fama pòstuma del pintor Antoni Viladomat, centrant-se especialment en les relacions del fiscal inquisidor Nicolàs Rodríguez Laso con Antonio Ponz i els cercles il·lustrats de l'època. S’aporta al seu catàleg, a més, una selección de noves obres, entre las quals s’inclou el fins ara desconegut autorretrat del pintor
