This work studies the nature, diversity and importance of microorganisms, describing their cell types and main groups (algae, protozoa, fungi and bacteria), as well as their role in areas such as agriculture, the food industry, health and environmental microbiology. The main objective is to determine the contamination by microorganisms in air and surfaces of different environments, comparing the results in two seasons (spring and summer). To verify this, environmental sampling techniques and surface control have been applied, with preparation of culture media and methods for counting and identifying microorganisms. The results include macroscopic and microscopic observations, as well as quantitative data from air and surface counts
