The aim of this work is to analyse the Leonese movement and its demand for the creation of a separate Autonomous Community for the Leonese region, within the context of the territorial and social specificities of Castile and León and Spain as a whole. Through a historical, sociopolitical, and electoral approach, it highlights how the identity sentiment in these provinces contrasts with an often-perceived inadequate autonomous system. The study examines the historical and cultural reasons behind the movement, as well as its current political expression, analyzing parties, mobilizations, and the electoral and social impact in León, Zamora, and Salamanca. Finally, it reflects on its electoral evolution and the possible territorial implications for the State. This research aims to understand the motivations and challenges of a movement that questions the boundaries and legitimacy of Spain’s territorial model
