In recent decades, Europe has witnessed the rise and consolidation of radical right-wing parties as key actors in its democracies. Although these formations have emerged and expanded across the continent, their influence and electoral success have varied significantly from country to country. Much research has been conducted on the different strategies these parties employ to disseminate their agenda. Despite the diversity of terms used to define them, this paper seeks to clarify their ideological orientation, differentiating key concepts and categories. In particular, we will focus on their conception of nation, analyzing how they construct and integrate it into their political discourse. Through critical discourse analysis and a review of their speeches and electoral programs, we will reconstruct the vision of nation and political community of VOX (Spain), CHEGA! (Portugal), Fratelli d’Italia (Italy), Rassemblement National (France), and Aliança Catalana (Spain) We will delve into their core values, such as nativism, sovereignty, and populism. These three concepts will be used as a reference and common thread when analyzing and comparing their programs and speeches
