Abstract

It is a study of the various diseases that have affected humanity throughout history, relating them to the world of art. In this work I have tried to study and analyze various diseases and how they have been represented by different artists throughout the history of art, making disease an object of beauty. The works reflect people, their moods, their sufferings, their concerns and their problems. The chosen paintings serve as material to speculate on the symptoms suffered by the portrayed characters and to learn about their context and that of the painter

És un estudi de les diverses malalties que han afectat la humanitat al llarg de la història, tot relacionant-les amb el món de l’art. En aquest treball he intentat estudiar i analitzar diverses malalties i com han estat representades per diferents artistes al llarg de la història de l’art, fent de la malaltia un objecte de bellesa. Les obres reflecteixen les persones, els seus estats d’ànim, els seus patiments, les seves preocupacions i els seus problemes. Les pintures elegides serveixen com a material per poder especular sobre els símptomes que pateixen els personatges retratats i conèixer el seu context i el del pintor
