Els olis i els terres porosos. Utilització dels olis vegetals com a productes embellidors de superfícies poroses

Abstract

The efficacy of vegetable oil as an embellisher of porous surfaces has been investigated. Two different porous surfaces have been selected and, in each surface, five dissimilar oils with viscosity differences have been poured on them, using two contrasted volumes of oil. The effects of each oil on the surfaces and its efficiency to eliminate the saline efflorescences have been studied. It has been determined which oil was the most effective to leave the floor more embellished, after a previous explanation of what an embellished floor was. Subsequently, the results with olive oils have been compared to a professional product to clean porous floors, and it has been determined which one gives better results and which one is less expensive. The relative viscosity of the oils used has been found, and it has been related to the efficacy of the oils to eliminate the efflorescences and to embellish the surfaces. Finally, it has been concluded that all the oils used have eliminated the eflorescences, and that the best oil to embellish these surfaces is the olive oil, easier to use and more economical than the professional product. Moreover, it has been concluded that the more viscous an oil is, the more efficacious to embellish the surfaces it will be

S’ha investigat l’eficàcia de l’oli vegetal com a producte embellidor de terres porosos. S’ha partit de dues superfícies poroses diferents i, en rajoles unitàries de cada superfície, s’hi han aplicat cinc olis amb diferències en la seva viscositat, utilitzant dos volums d’oli dissemblants per a cobrir cada superfície. S’han estudiat els efectes de cada oli sobre les rajoles i la seva eficàcia per a eliminar les eflorescències salines que es formen als terres porosos. S’ha determinat quin era el més eficaç per a deixar el terra més embellit partint d’una prèvia explicació del que s’entenia per terra embellit. Posteriorment, s’han comparat els resultats dels olis vegetals amb un producte professional netejador de terres porosos, i s’ha determinat quin dóna uns resultats més òptims i quin és més econòmic. S’ha trobat la viscositat relativa dels olis emprats i s’ha relacionat amb l’eficàcia dels olis per a eliminar les eflorescències i per a embellir els terres. Finalment, s’ha conclòs que tots els olis eliminaven les eflorescències, i que l’oli més apte per a embellir els terres porosos ha estat el d’oliva, més còmode d’usar i més econòmic que el producte professional, i que com més viscós ha estat un oli, més eficaç ha resultat com a embellidor
