Football is not only the sport that has most practitioners around the world, but it is also the most studied sport. In fact, to achieve the objective of optimizing the football player performance, thousands of investigations have been carried out. In this case, 24 football players (12 in each group) between 12-15 years old have participated in a randomized controlled trial. This has been conducted to show whether the application of a six-week visualization protocol to young footballers improves the performance of a coordinated football task (TF) and increases the use of visualization. Overall, this study does not show significant changes with respect to the use of visualization or with respect to the performance in the TF having followed the six-week protocol of visualization. However, on an individual level positive changes are observed in six of the ten footballers of the experimental group ​
