Linguistica sine finibus: estudis dedicats a Montserrat Batllori Dillet

Abstract

This book is a tribute that colleagues offer to Montserrat Batllori in the moment of her retirement, in gratitude for everything she has given them throughout her academic career. The title of the work, "Linguistica sine finibus", that is, linguistics without borders, aims to highlight the open conception that has characterized both her research and her teaching in the field of linguistics. The volume, which brings together twenty-one works linked to the different subjects Batllori has dedicated her career, is structured around the following thematic axes: (i) geolectal variation and Romance variants, (ii) diachronic variation, (iii) history of the language, (iv) argumentative structure: theory and applications, (v) corpus analysis. The originality of the contributions and the diversity of theoretical and methodological frameworks used make this volume a work of great scientific relevance for the study of language from all its aspects, while reflecting the transversality of the honoree

Aquest llibre és un homenatge que companys i col·legues oferim a Montserrat Batllori amb motiu de la seva jubilació, en agraïment a tot el que ens ha regalat al llarg de la seva trajectòria acadèmica. El títol de l’obra, “Linguistica sine finibus”, és a dir, lingüística sense fronteres, vol posar en relleu la concepció oberta que ha caracteritzat tant la seva recerca com la seva docència en l’àmbit de la lingüística. El volum, que aplega vint-i-un treballs vinculats a les diferents àrees d’estudi a les quals Batllori ha dedicat la seva carrera, s’estructura al voltant dels eixos temàtics següents: (i) variació geolectal i variants romàniques, (ii) variació diacrònica, (iii) història de la llengua, (iv) estructura argumental: teoria i aplicacions, i (v) anàlisi de corpus. L’originalitat de les contribucions i la diversitat de marcs teòrics i metodològics emprats fan d’aquest volum una obra de gran rellevància científica per a l’estudi de la llengua des de tots els seus vessants, alhora que reflecteixen la transversalitat de l’homenatjada
