ENG- In this doctoral thesis, the educational discourses and practices developed around three flexible educational models (FEM) in a public educational institution in Cali, Colombia, are identified and analyzed, considering their contributions to educational inclusion. The research adopts a sociocultural perspective of education and methodologically proposes a qualitative study conducted through a case study. The exploration of the FEM is valuable as they are the main strategy of the Colombian Ministry of Education to achieve educational inclusion. The results indicate that the FEM constitute a valuable offer for educational inclusion for boys and girls in vulnerable conditions, as through these modalities, they find opportunities to reintegrate into schooling and become a valuable space for socialization. However, the results also show the need to implement adjustments that allow these modalities to transition from educational inclusion to inclusive education. To this end, it is proposed to consider flexible education as a principle and not as a quick path to integration into traditional school models. Additionally, it is suggested to promote roles in knowledge production for both learners and teachers
