The purpose of this study was to find a direct relation between musical harmony (the science of mathematical relations between sound waves, which are essential for the creation of chords and musical scales) and cymatics (the science that studies the display of static waves on a surface). The main hypothesis stated that the mathematic relation between static waves was the same relation than between consonant sound waves. To do this, it was necessary to determine experimentally if those consonant harmonic intervals (two similar sound waves), when combined, they always become into more regular and well-defined figures than dissonant harmonic intervals
