The article synthetically presents the results of the last five years of excavations in the medieval town of Roses. Archaeological work has revealed an important part of the layout of the streets Major and Nou, which connected the port area with the monastery of Santa Maria, as well as the blocks that flank them, providing new data on the social urban structure and its evolution. These excavations have contributed important novelties to the knowledge of the medieval population, but also of the processes of destruction and restructuring produced after its abandonment during the Catalan Revolt with the total militarization of the space ​
