Abstract

The digs of the Roman villa of Pla de Palol (Castell-Platja d'Aro) have provided a total of 91 coins. Therefore, it is oneof the most important coin sets located in the Roman villas of the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula. These coins cover all the monetary periods of the Roman history and they are a clear evidence of the monetization of the economy during Roman times

Les excavacions de la vil·la romana de Pla de Palol (Castell-Platja d’Aro) han proporcionat un total de 91 monedes, Per tant, és un dels conjunts de monedes més importants localitzats en les vil·les romanes del nord-est de la península Ibèrica. Aquestes monedes abasten tots els períodes monetaris de la història romana i són un clar indici de la monetització de l’economia durant l’època romana
