dc.description.abstract
This article studies scuba diving around the Medes Islands, situated opposite the tourist resort of L'Estartit, on the Catalan Mediterranean coast. Information on the profile of divers and an assessment of their stay in L'Estartit was obtained by a survey. The results show that scuba divers who visit the Medes Islands are, on average, middle-aged, male Europeans of medium or high socio-economic level, who return to L'Estartit attracted by the rich marine life of the area. The survey also shows high levels of satisfaction associated with their stay
