The bioanthropological analysis of the Convent of Sant Agustí Vell skeletal remains indicated 33 individuals: 16 from the simple grave burials in the courtyard in front of the church door, 4 from the simple grave burials in the cloister and an NMI of 13 individuals estimated from of the isolated bones recovered in the sediments of the burials. Differences in physical activity, robustness and height are observed between these individuals and those from other contemporary contexts. These are lay and monk individuals, the latter did not have a very high social status but at the end of their lives they had access to animal protein, this fact may be related to the success that the convent ended up achieving. The lay people were probably related to the tanners’ guild
