Website analysis of gastronomy tourism development in Germany regions

The importance of gastronomy tourism is constrantly growing. Local gastronomy has a great potential to attract tourist flow since it offers a plenty of activities, especially visits to producers (farms), processing firms (wineries, dairies), restaurants, interpretation centers, museums, among others. Nevertheless, lack of studies in this field has been found. Some of the destinations that present a great potential for the development of gastronomy tourism have been under explored. Among these destinations we can find Germany, which does not present much data about a complex phenomenon such as gastronomy tourism. That is why we assess the level of development of gastronomy tourism in Germany through analyzing tourism board web sites of every German region ​
