Vivències i raons de la demanda d’anestèsia epidural durant el part normal: projecte de recerca

Pain is one of the most important fears associated with childbirth and every woman experiences it differently. Cultural, social, ethnic and even family factors can influence their behavior and perception. The pain of childbirth can be so intense that some women list it as one of the most traumatic and painful events of their lives. On the other hand, epidural anesthesia is a widely used neuraxial blockade technique used in obstetrics that has shown over the years a great clinical applicability and satisfaction in the management of labor pain. Objectives: The objectives of this study are: a) is to identify the socio-demographic characteristics and obstetric antecedents of women who request epidural anesthesia during a normal-vaginal birth. b) analyze the reasons and main reasons for requesting it. c) explore their feelings towards the process and experiences according to demographic characteristics and obstetric antecedents ​
