Introduction: According to UNICEF, Guatemala is the sixth country in the world with the worst indicators of chronic malnutrition. Childhood chronic malnutrition is a growth retardation that affects the physical and cognitive development of infants. The lack of adequate food and drinking water, the habitat conditions, and the lack of health controls during the first thousand days of life are some of the determinants. The Guatemalan department of Totonicapán has the highest rate of chronic malnutrition, with 70% of infants affected. The project called “Infància en risc” is currently carried out in the department. This is a development cooperation project designed by the Resilis Foundation together with the Armonia Association. In order to tackle the situation, educational training is provided to the mothers of the children with malnutrition. Moreover, growing sustainable crops that are a source of nutritious food for the community is encouraged. Objective: To evaluate the project "Childhood at Risk: Prevention of child malnutrition" in Guatemala from a qualitative perspective
