La perspectiva dels homes sobre les violències masclistes: un estudi intergeneracional

Abstract

The men’s perspective towards gender violence is a vision that has been little studied and has sometimes been hidden. By means of three discussion groups of men aged 18 to 30, 31 to 65 and over 65 years, of Cerdanya, I sought to respond the general objective of determining what men of different generations recognise as gender violence and what they would do about it. From the categorisation process, three categories were obtained: identified gender violence, causes of gender violence and proposals to reduce this problem. The results and consequently the conclusions reached demonstrate the awareness of the different participants on the subject.

La perspectiva que presenten els homes cap a la violència masclista és una visió poc estudiada i que, en algunes ocasions, ha estat ocultada. Mitjançant la realització de tres grups de discussió d’homes de 18 a 30 anys, de 31 a 65 anys i de més de 65 anys, de la Cerdanya, s’ha buscat donar resposta a l’objectiu general de determinar què reconeixen com a violència masclista i què farien respecta aquesta, homes de diferents generacions. A partir del procés de categorització, s’han obtingut tres categories: violències masclistes identificades, causes de les violències masclistes i propostes per reduir aquesta problemàtica. Els resultats i conseqüentment les conclusions assolides demostren la consciència que presenten els diferents participants respecte al tema.
