This Master's thesis focuses on the study of Preventive Music Therapy in the educational field. It consists of two main parts. The first part, focused on the stage from 0 to 3 years old, begins with the explanation and analysis of the experience of practices lived in the group framed by these ages. It bases the theoretical foundations of the discipline and, finally, it shows the metacognitive process reached at the end of the training in the subject. The second part of the work, focused on children from 3 to 12 years old, develops a study on the benefits of Music Therapy applied in the school environment, as a preventive practice of the emotional health of minors. This section begins with the presentation of the theoretical framework of the field of work and the introduction to the existing problems. It also exposes, in a referenced way, a justification of the practice of Music Therapy in this field in which the benefits of socioemotional work in the development of school-age children are manifested. Finally, an intervention proposal is presented. The paper concludes with a general reflection on the practices and the research itself
