La reconversió d'infraestructures ferroviàries : El re-ús d'infraestructures ferroviàries com a element principal d'una transformació urbana = The reconversion of railway infrastructures : The re-use of rail infrastructure as the main element of an urban transformation

Abstract

The work aims to further study on the reuse of obsolete or disused railway areas, so that they can be converted into a new urban framework that not only regenerates their state but also their environment. From the development of a list of projects about this nature, the most relevant ones will be narrowed down and three of different areas will result: district, urban and regional level. Of these, the previous and subsequent state of the environment will be analysed, as they are presented and the results that can be extracted. The results will determine what kind of socio-economic impact these cases of rail infrastructure transformations have. Finally, common guidelines will be defined to address new projects for the transformation of these infrastructures.

El treball pretén aprofundir en l'estudi del re-ús d'àrees ferroviàries obsoletes o en desús, per tal de poder-les reconvertir dins un nou marc urbà que no només regeneri el seu estat, sinó també el seu entorn. A partir del desenvolupament d’un llistat de projectes d’aquest tipus, s’acotaran els més rellevants i en resultaran tres de diferents àmbits: a escala de barri, urbà i regional. D’aquests, s’analitzarà l’estat anterior i posterior de l’entorn, com es plantegen i els resultats que se’n puguin extreure. Els resultats ens determinaran quin impacte socioeconòmic en resulta d’aquests casos de transformacions d’infraestructures ferroviàries. Finalment, es definiran unes pautes comunes que serviran per encarar nous projectes d’aprofitament d’aquests espais.
