Qualitat de vida dels adolescents i adults amb tremolor essencial: projecte de recerca

Essential tremors are one of the most prevalent movement disorders, characterized by involuntary abnormal movements that occur in adults and children due to a genetic predisposition. Tremor mainly affects the upper extremities, causing an inability to perform basic activities of daily living, which cause negative feelings that can affect people's quality of life. Objectives To study the quality of life of adolescents and adults diagnosed with essential tremors. Methodology Descriptive, cross-sectional and observational study that will be carried out in the Neurology consultations of the University Hospital of Girona Doctor Josep Trueta, of the Health Region of the province of Girona, in a period of nine months that will go from September 2022 to May 2023. The study population will be people diagnosed with a movement disorder, with a non-probabilistic sample of convenience, which will include adolescents between 14 and 18 years of age with a diagnosis of essential tremors, and a sample of adults, including there are parents or caregivers with essential tremor ​
