Efectivitat d'una intervenció infermera de prevenció del consum de drogues en adolescents: projecte de recerca

Abstract

Introduction: Experimenting with the consumption of toxic substances during adolescence is a common fact, assuming a serious health problem. The prevalence of drug use in young people is high and the age of onset of consumption occurs at an early age, despite the evidence of the negative consequences, ranging from the increased risk of substance use in adulthood, to school failure, to situations of sexual violence up to deteriorated mental health. Intervention in the prevention of the consumption of toxic substances in young people in health promotion, would enhance the protective factors of adolescence.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of a health promotion intervention and prevention of toxic substance use in high school students.

Material and methods: The study population will be the first-year students of the three high schools in Lloret de Mar (Girona). An 8-session health promotion intervention will be conducted, which will be assessed through a quasi-experimental pre-post study, through an ad-hoc questionnaire and the adaptation of the Substance Use and Abuse subscale of the Problem Oriented Screening Instrument for Teenagers (POSIT_UAS) questionnaire. A univariate and bivariate descriptive analysis will be carried out considering the ethical aspects of any research

Introducció: Experimentar amb el consum de substàncies tòxiques durant l’adolescència és un fet comú, suposant un greu problema de salut pública. La prevalença del consum de drogues en joves és elevada i l’edat d’inici del consum es produeix en edats primerenques tot i l’evidència de les conseqüències negatives, que van des de l’augment del risc d’ús de la substància a l’edat adulta, al fracàs escolar, a situacions de violència sexual fins a una salut mental deteriorada. Intervenir en la prevenció del consum de substàncies tòxiques en joves en el marc de la promoció de la salut permetria potenciar els factors protectors dels i les adolescents.

Objectiu: Avaluar l’efectivitat d’una intervenció de promoció de la salut i prevenció del consum de substàncies tòxiques en estudiants d’educació secundària obligatòria. Material i mètodes: La població d’estudi serà l’alumnat de 1r curs d’educació secundària obligatòria dels tres instituts de Lloret de Mar. Es portarà a terme una intervenció de promoció de la salut de 8 sessions, que s’avaluarà mitjançant un estudi quasi experimental pre-post, a través d’un qüestionari ad-hoc i l’adaptació de la subescala d’Ús i Abús de Substàncies del qüestionari Problem Oriented Screening Instrument for Teenagers (POSIT_UAS). Es durà a terme un anàlisi descriptiu univariant i bivariant tenint en compte els aspectes ètics de tota investigació
