Intel·ligència emocional i la seva relació amb la salut mental dels professionals d'infermeria: projecte de recerca

Introduction: Mental health is determinate by multiple social, psychological and biological factors. The significant association of emotional intelligence with mental and physical health has been recently studied, more specifically in nursing professionals due to the emotional management involved in this profession. Stressful factors are constant in these professionals and their lack of management can have consequences on their mental health. Objectives: Study mental health, describe occupational burnout syndrome, analyse emotional intelligence and relate the level of emotional intelligence to the mental health of participating nursing professionals and to the burnout of nursing professionals of the hospital area of the Hospital Universitari de Girona Doctor Josep Trueta. Methodology: A descriptive and cross-sectional study will be carried out with a sample of nursing professionals who are working in the emergency department, Intensive Care Unit 1 and 9, Coronary Unit, Multi-purpose Intensive Care Unit, Reanimation and Intermediate Respiratory Care Unit of the Hospital Universitari de Girona Doctor Josep Trueta ​
