Qualitat de vida percebuda de persones amb tractament d'hemodiàlisi domiciliària comparada amb hemodiàlisi hospitalària: projecte de recerca

Introduction: The incidence and prevalence of people requiring hemodialysis therapy is increasing globally due to multiple factors. The most commonly used treatment today is hemodialysis in 90.7% of people but their quality of life is severely affected. There are other therapies such as home hemodialysis that studies show that people have good levels of quality of life. But in Catalonia only a 0.045% are receiving it in 2018. Objective: Knowing the perceived quality of life of the people that are doing home hemodialysis in the Universitary Hospital of Girona Doctor Josep Trueta. Methodology: Quantitative study, descriptive, comparative, observational, longitudinal and based in a single hospital center that is composed and divided in three different phases: initial phase, central phase anb final phase. This will be done in the hemodialysis service in the University Hospital of Girona Dr. Josep Trueta. The study population will be composed by people in hospitalary hemodialysis and people in home hemodialysis. The variable of the study are two, the sociodemographic data, and the perceived quality of life of the participants in this study. The mesure instruments that are going to be used to collect data are: ad-hoc questionnaire of sociodemographic variables (of own elaboration) and the KDQOL-SF questionnaire (of Hays, Kallich, Mapes, Coons and Carter). The SPSS 25.0 (IBM) will be used to do the data analyses during the time period that people are doing the treatment ​
