dc.description.abstract
Adam Smith’s labor theory of value has generated deep
controversies in the history of economic thought. One of the
main difficulties is to explain the transmission of value from
production costs to consumer goods. Marginalist revolution was
an entry of fresh air into the economic analysis that, at the same
time, recovered the trend prior to Smith. In this work I will
examine critically the labor theory of value and compare it with
the theory of marginal utility
