This thesis stated that the Reflective Thinking Teacher (PRD) competence can be acquired during the Initial Teacher Training (FID) process. Action research (I-A) was used, with a group of pedagogy students from a Chilean public university, planning a four-year cycle of scaffolding and information gathering. Developing an Action Plan which allowed to raise a guideline of didactic strategies, together with a rubric that served as guide and feedback, distinguishing the levels of reflection achieved in each stage, facilitating the collection of information and the results analysis, accounting for the process of scaffolding of the PRD.
The results showed the effects of the action plan, separated by cycles of annual interventions and the levels of reflection that the students achieved in each phase.
