Abstract

The study explains the function of the Tower of Trinity. It was a place from which the entry of ships into the Gulf of Roses could be controlled. It had another function, which has been unknown until recently, and that is related to the fishing of tuna banks, from May to October, and to the chapel of the Holy Trinity that was created inside the tower and preserved by local fishermen

La funció de la Torre de la Trinitat ha estat històricament controlar l’entrada de vaixells al Golf de Roses. L’estudi presenta una nova funció que desconeixíem, la seva relació amb el món de la pesca, com a guaita de l’arribada dels bancs de tonyines durant els mesos de maig a octubre i la creació de la capella de la Santíssima Trinitat al seu interior per part dels pescadors rosincs
