Rising alcohol consumption among early adolescents is becoming a global public health problem. Adolescents now drink more of this substance in short periods of time, a dangerous phenomenon known as “binge drinking.” The easy obtaining of alcoholic beverages and the various reasons that lead to consumption, mean that the average age of the first intake in Catalan adolescents is 13,9 years, with no distinction in either sex. In order to make young people aware of the dangers of this practice and to be able to reduce it, it has been deemed necessary to strengthen protective factors and reduce risk factors, as well as providing them with more tools to increase their knowledge of alcohol, with the help of the nursing and school team. Objectives: 1. To know the prevalence of alcohol consumption among adolescents between the ages of 14 and 18 at the Celrà High School. 2. To identify the knowledge that students between the ages of 14 and 18 at the Celrà High School have of alcohol. Material and methods: This is an observational and cross-sectional study design that will take place from September 2020 to July 2021. The study population will be adolescents between 14 and 18 years old from the high school of Celrà, where the sample will be chosen using a type of non-probability sampling called convenience sampling. The research instrument used will be a specific questionnaire that will identify the knowledge that adolescents have about alcohol, as well as identifying the prevalence of consumption. The results of the study will detect the shortcomings of the above aspects in order to provide future students with an educational program which specialises in strengthening the weaknesses identified
