Towards a teacher training based on the integration between practice and
theory: an experience in the Practicum from the realistic model
This work describes an innovative educational experience in connection with
professional practices of the University of Girona’s Primary School Education
degree course, designed to promote the self-regulated development of professional competencies through realistic and reflective learning. This training model is based in sociocultural theory, and the idea of the reflective professional
with a realistic view of teaching, and it assumes that interaction with others,
oneself and the theory facilitates the co-construction and the active reconstruction of knowledge about teaching practice during initial teacher training
