Una década de arte brasileño en España (2005-2015): un estado de la cuestión

Abstract

In the period 2005-2015, coinciding with an economically rich period in Brazil, several Spanish institutions, public and private, programmed an unprecedented number of exhibitions of Brazilian art. This article aims to analyse some issues that we considers important about the role of Spanish institutions in the visibility and internationalization of Brazilian art. In this sense, this article has two major objectives: 1) to present a state of art, displaying the exhibitions of Brazilian art in Spain, and; 2) to discuss the narratives of Brazilian art through the analysis of formats, categories, artists and agents present in these exhibitions

En el período 2005-2015, coincidiendo con un período económicamente rico en Brasil, diversas instituciones españolas, públicas y privadas, programaron una inaudita cantidad de exposiciones de arte brasileño. Este artículo analiza algunas cuestiones que consideramos importantes sobre el papel de las instituciones españolas en la visibilidad e internacionalización del arte brasileño. En este sentido, este artículo tiene dos objetivos principales: 1) presentar un estado de la cuestión, desplegando las muestras de arte brasileño realizadas en España, y; 2) problematizar las narrativas del arte brasileño a través del análisis de formatos, categorías, artistas y agentes presentes en estas exposiciones
