Redisseny d’una turbina picohidràulica de la regió de l’Himàlaia per augmentar-ne el rendiment hidràulic

Abstract

Les turbines picohidràuliques d’eix vertical són àmpliament utilitzades en regions aïllades de l’Himàlaia per transformar energia hidràulica en mecànica. Els dissenys tradicionals usen àleps de fusta de perfil pla i assoleixen rendiments hidràulics inferiors al 30%. Organismes internacionals estan duent a terme diferents programes per augmentar el rendiment d’aquestes turbines utilitzant tecnologia apropiada, minimitzant els costos de reconversió i mantenint el punt de funcionament al mateix règim de gir que el de les turbines tradicionals. L’objecte consisteix en el redisseny d’una turbina picohidràulica d’eix vertical tradicional de l’Himàlaia per augmentar-ne el rendiment hidràulic. Els principals requisits són: material d’eix i d’àleps de fusta, règim de gir en condicions nominals iguals al del molí tradicional i cost de reconversió i de manteniment molt reduït

Vertical axis hydropower turbines are widely used in isolated regions the Himalayas to transform hydraulic energy into mechanics. Traditional designs use blades of flat-profile wood and achieve hydraulic yields of less than 30%. International organizations are implementing different programs to increase it performance of these turbines using appropriate technology, minimizing the costs of conversion and maintaining the operating point in the same rotation regime as that of the turbines traditional. The object is the redesign of a traditional vertical axis picohydraulic turbine of the Himalayas to increase their hydraulic performance. The main requirements are: material of shaft and wood blades, speed of rotation in nominal conditions the same as the traditional mill and very low cost of conversion and maintenance
