The archaeological works carried out in 2009 at the northeast of the historical center of Besalú, allowed to document five silos filled gradually between the 10th and 13th centuries. The multidisciplinary study of the different remains that were found inside (basically fauna, seeds and pottery) have allowed to approach to some alimentary features of the mediaeval Besalú inhabitants ​
