The rehabilitation of persons who have committed a crime is essential so that they can return to live together in society, avoid repeating the history and, therefore, not only relying on punishment. Based on some criminological theories on the causes of crime, we will see what can bring the Karate to avoid new commissions of crime or anti-social behavior. In addition, we will observe how Karate can help life inside prison and contribute to the process of rehabilitation for a re-education and social reintegration effectiveness, as said in the article 25.2 of the Spanish Constitution on the orientation of the penalties prescribed deprivation of liberty. Karate is a traditional martial of Eastern origin which can assist in this process in various aspects, including: education in social values, respect, humility, discipline, self-control, acceptance, cooperation, physical, and mental strength commitment, self-knowledge, etc. Nevertheless, we should emphasize that it is not the only guarantee of a successful rehabilitation process since many other factors are involved
