La plana de la Selva ha estat històricament un lloc de pas natural importantíssim per comunicar les poblacions humanes del nord-est peninsular. En el present estudi s’analitzarà la depressió de la Selva com a unitat geogràfica, la qual engloba les comarques de la Selva i el Gironès. The Selva plain has historically been a very important place of natural passage to communicate the human populations of the peninsular northeast. In this work, we analyse the depression of the Selva as a geographical unit, which includes the regions of Selva and Gironès. We wanted to add a small part of the Baix Empordà, given that both the territories of the plain and the nearest mountainous lands that have a visual domain towards it are taken into account
