Chronic kidney disease is a progressive and irreversible loss of functional nephrons which gradually reduce kidney function. The accumulation of toxic substances in the organism causes a series of complications that can affect the patient’s life in the field biopsychosocial. The prevalence of chronic kidney disease has increased in recent years due to the aging population and the increase in risk factors. This gives place that every time the institutions and equipment’s of health want to evaluate the quality of life perceived by patients and to know the risk factors that influence the adoption of new strategies and improving the care of these patients. Objective: The main objective of the study is to know the perceived quality of life of the patients that are in the treatment of hemodialysis chronic, and relate it to demographic data and factors that influence it. Methodology: The area of study and population will be the chronic kidney disease patients that are in the treatment of hemodialysis chronic of the area of Girona to the moment of data collection. To evaluate the quality of life, it will use the descriptive methodology, transversal and of a quantitative nature. The instruments used for collection for data they will be the questionnaire the quality of life specific to patients with kidney disease (KDQOL-SF) where it is included the general health questionnaire (SF-36), the visual analogue scale (VAS) and the population values of reference of the general population according to the SF-36 to compare with kidney patients. The analysis of quantitative data is to be carried out by means of the SPSS computer program ​
